My goodness, it's been a while. I suppose blogging about art is not the same as DOING it, so it can feel futile.
Looking for a better way to share prints with others than using tree-paper. Currently exploring hemp paper. Did you know there are only two printers of Hemp paper in Southern California, perhaps all of CA? Hemp is much more sustainable. It doesn't involve displacing bird nests or melting ice caps, like clearing trees does. Anyhoo, hope soon to bring some hemp prints forward. <3 Thanks fo Was a great success! Thanks to all who came out and played with us. My paintings are still hanging on the walls of Cafe Mimosa in Topanga, for the rest of July 2012! And they are singing with joy.
My vision is to have a little print and greeting card shop here soon... In the meantime, visitors can always use the "Contact Me" tab above to inquire.
Did you put a stop at Mimosa Cafe on your calendar yet? It's a magical little place, not to mention it's seconds away from Inn of the Seventh Ray restaurant and Hidden Treasures. That whole little zone is worth an afternoon detour! in an eco-friendly way. Nature-safe paints. Recycled canvas. What I can do right now, though, is look around me at the supplies I already have, and use those up until it's time to re-buy art supplies. That's the first step that I'm still applying: work with what you got! When the time is right to buy new things, I suppose I will venture into the world of hemp canvases and Eco-Green Crafts: http://ecogreencrafts.com. Meanwhile, I continue to take baby steps... Blessings!
searching for the most sustainable, earth-safe way to print and share artwork. I've got my "National Green Pages," a few bamboo brushes and some recycled printer leads. In the meantime, sales at my Zazzle store will ultimately help lead to the production of prints through greenerprinter.com.
